How to Disconnect Your Facebook Account From Instagram

There are several advantages to connecting your Instagram and Facebook accounts. It enables the automatic sharing of stories and posts between two social media networks. Additionally, you may connect with pals more quickly with these apps.

But there are drawbacks as well. You might find it annoying that these platforms sync your name and profile image. You may also choose to disconnect your accounts for further privacy-related concerns.

How to Unlink A Facebook Account From Instagram

With both apps, Facebook and Instagram can be unlinked. In order to unlink a Facebook account from Instagram, we’ll be using an Instagram app.

Step 1: First thing you need to do is to open the Instagram app.

Step 2: To access your profile, tap your profile photo.

Step 3: Tap the menu symbol with three lines in the app’s upper-right corner.

Step 4: Select Settings by tapping on it.

Step 5: Choose Accounts Center from the menu at the bottom.

Step 6: Choose Accounts & Profiles.

Step 7: A list of your connected accounts will now appear. To delete an account, choose it.

Step 8: Tap your Facebook account.

Step 9: Tap the “Remove from Accounts Center” text.

Step 10: A pop-up window requesting confirmation will show up. To confirm, tap Continue.

Step 11: Tap “Remove (your account name)”.

You’ve now successfully disconnected your Instagram and Facebook accounts.

In the same way, you can unlink your accounts on Facebook.

Step 1: Open the Facebook app.

Step 2: Tap the three horizontal lines located in the screen’s upper-right corner.

Step 3: Choose Settings & Privacy after scrolling to the bottom.

Step 4: Next, select Settings.

Step 5: Tap Accounts Center at the bottom of the Settings & Privacy screen.

You can now proceed as previously described for the Instagram app (after Step 5).
